Check In, Out

We kindly asked that you provide us with a check in time prior to your check in date.

Check-in time begins at 4:00 7:00 pm Important to note: 4 to 7 pm is a suggested time. Please provide your desired check in time when booking so we can make arrangements as required. Arrangements can be made for early check-ins and late checkout for an addition fee of $25. Any reservation checking in before 4pm is charged treated as early check in.

We like to greet as many guests as possible in person, however we can arrange a self check-in option for those arriving after normal check-in hours (no check-in time restrictions). We will inform you of the self check-in process by phone or email at time of booking prior to your arrival.

Check-out: By 11:00 AM.
If you wish to stay with us a little longer (2pm) we are happy to accommodate your request. This is an additional $25 charge.

Payment Options

Payment by cash, VISA, Mastercard, Interac, and Bank transfer is accepted. A receipt is given for all payment forms. 13% HST tax applies to all reservation.


To cancel a reservation

We understand life is unpredictable and sometimes plans change. We are a small property and cancellations effect us significantly, therefore we must adhere to a firm cancellation policy. Our policy is intended to be fair to guests and to minimize cancelations. Once we reserve the suite for you, we remove it from the market, refusing all other requests. We do not double book rooms. 

We have two policies

****Due to higher volume of fraudulent reservations and cancelations online we must change our policy for those reservations booked online through third party sites. It’s best to book direct at or call (519) 767 1095

1:For online reservations received from Expedia or, Trivago,

***** In the event of a cancellation of your reservation  14 days or less the full amount of your reservation will be charged. 

Your credit card will be charged anytime after booking regardless of the date of arrival to ensure the credit information is valid.Please note a $35 dollar non refundable admin fee is taken to secure the room. We will terminate any reservation right away with insufficient funds or fake cards.

2:For reservations booked over the phone, in person or directly on our website www.norfolkguesthouse,ca the following policy applies

*****A cancellation of a reservation that occurs 10 days or less prior to arrival date the full amount of the reservation will be charged to your credit card. Large groups, weddings, and long term reservation cancelation is discussed with the host and terms set on individual basis.

The credit card will be processed anytime after booking regardless of the date of arrival to ensure the credit information is valid.Please note a $35 dollar non refundable admin fee is taken to secure the room.

***In the event of acts of god such as ice storms, tornados, heavy snowfall ,flooding we encourage guests to watch the weather Chanel to plan your  trips, we have modern technology to help us in advance. A minimum of 24hrs notice is required. If you do not give us notice before the day of arrival the room full amount will be charged plus an admin fee of $35. We will then send you a gift certificate to use at a later date.

Room Availability

We strive to provide rooms as reserved by our guests. However, in the event the room you have selected is not available for any reason, a room of equal or greater value will be provided to our guests at no extra cost. We reserve the right to move your reservation within the same class of room or higher. Room decor and prices are subject to change without notice.

Free wireless high-speed internet service, one parking space, and a complimentary hot breakfast. Additional cars are charged $10 per night. Our parking lot is not suitable for Large cars and trucks. Those with larger vehicles can park on Queen st over night at no charge.

Breakfast hours:

Weekday 7:30 to 9:30 am

Weekends 8:30 to 10:15 am


We have a strict NO Smoking policy with a $500 cleaning fee. No smoking on the Penthouse or Grandview balconies or inside any rooms.

Damage policy

The registered guest is responsible for any damages to the premises caused by wilful neglect or carelessness, and will be liable to Norfolk guest-house for all costs associated with any replacements or repairs needed.These charges will be applied to credit card on file.



We are pet friendly. Please call host to get permission to bring your dog as some restrictions apply. A $25 fee  per reservation per each pet. We can only take dogs in certain rooms and it is up to the host to except your pet or not.
